Schweitzer-Mauduit (NYSE:SWM) was created in 1995 when Kimberly-Clark (NYSE:KMB) spun off its tobacco related paper products business. The company operates in over 90 countries and it has 14 production facilities throughout the world. Schweitzer-Mauduit's competitors include Delfort, Glatz, BMJ, and Miquel y Costas. Miquel y Costas is a closely held public company and the other competitors are privately held. Schweitzer-Mauduit is comprised of three segments: Paper, Reconstituted Tobacco, and Filtration. The paper division primarily sells cigarette paper, plug wrap paper, and base tipping paper. However, the paper division also generates a small amount of sales from non tobacco products. Schweitzer-Mauduit's reconstituted tobacco division produces reconstituted tobacco leaf as well as wrapper and binder products....
