Cramer's Lightning Round - Airlines On The Sidelines (8/7/14)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round segment of Jim Cramer's Mad Money Program, Thursday August 7.

Bullish Calls:

  • Magnum Hunter (MHR): "Smaller oil companies are all coming down. If you can get it for $5, I would do it."
  • Disney (NYSE:DIS): "Disney reported an amazing quarter, and the stock is back (down) to $85. I think Disney is right."
  • SunEdison (SUNE), First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR), SolarCity (NASDAQ:SCTY): "I like SunEdison, but I like First Solar more. I like SolarCity too."

Bearish Calls:

  • American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL): "The airline group is pausing because of problems in Russia and worries about airline safety ... when analysts cut numbers, that will be your chance to buy more. I would say stay on the sidelines."
  • World Wrestling Entertainment (NYSE:WWE): "That is just an okay stock. It has a difficult entertainment transition that makes me uncomfortable."
  • Prospect Capital (NASDAQ:PSEC): "Don't worry about the class action lawsuit. We can't know what they own. We need more transparency."
  • Basic Energy Services (NYSE:BAS): "These stocks are all going down, because people think Russia is shutting down the world oil trade. That is not true, but that is what people think, so I can't recommend it."
