by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round segment of Jim Cramer's Mad Money Program, Tuesday August 12.

Bullish Calls:

  • Toll Brothers (NYSE:TOL): "The affordability of homes have gone up and rates have gone down. Toll Brothers makes sense to me."
  • Vale (NYSE:VALE): "For minerals, we like Vale. We just picked up some more for our charitable trust. We think it has bottomed."
  • SunCoke (NYSE:SXC): "SXC is the one you want for coal."
  • Disney (NYSE:DIS): "It reports good numbers and then goes down. You pull the trigger. That stock is going to $100."

Bearish Calls:

  • SandRidge Energy (NYSE:SD): "It is not working at all. I know Leon Cooperman likes it. I want to place my faith in him, but the stock has to deliver. That was not a good quarter."
  • Turquoise Hill Resources (NYSE:TRQ): "We don't want that (Cramer prefers Vale)."
  • Walter Energy (NYSE:WLT): "We prefer SunCoke for coal."
  • Clean Energy Fuels (NASDAQ:CLNE): "It is a great concept, but it is too speculative."
  • Seadrill (NYSE:SDRL), Ensco (NYSE:ESV): "My charitable trust owns ESV, and it is a better company, but it is going down, and if ESV is going down, SDRL is going down."
