Springleaf Holdings Is Finally Living Up To Its Potential

I first wrote about Springleaf Holdings (LEAF) last February. Since that time, not a lot happened with the stock as LEAF continued to execute on its overall business strategy, and the share price didn't go much of anywhere. Then Springleaf reported 2Q earnings, and the stock took off. While there are a lot of details to discuss, the headline here is that LEAF is doing well with credit quality improving, and a big deal on legacy mortgage asset disposal should lead to a ~$600M gain for the firm.
