The good thing about researching a company that dominates its industry is that as long as you can make an argument as to why that industry is attractive, you're often able to extend much of it to the particular company at hand. And since there is typically more information available about an industry as a whole than any one company within it, your depth of research can often measurably improve when researching such dominant entities.
