Four Oaks Fincorp: Regional Bank With A Financial Moat Poised For A Turnaround And Resumption Of Dividend Payments.

Four Oaks Fincorp, Inc. (OTCQB:FOFN) is the holding company for Four Oaks Bank & Trust, a regional bank with 13 branches in central and eastern North Carolina. At the height of the nationwide real estate market and the bank's peak, FOFN sported nearly a $200 million market cap, $70 million of shareholders' equity, nearly $1 billion of assets and paid out dividends to its shareholders every quarter since 1991. FOFN was hit by a double whammy in the form of the tough economic times which brought many banks to their knees and the equivalent to a run on the bank. FOFN saw over $150 million (e.g., roughly 15%) of its deposits & assets evaporate from 2009 through 2013....
