Cramer's Stop Trading! What Will Warren Buffett Buy Next? (2/28/11)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on Jim Cramer's Stop Trading! TV Segment, Monday February 28.

Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.A), (NYSE:BRK.B), Linn Energy (LINE), MarkWest Energy Partners (NYSE:MWE), Energy Transfer Partners (NYSE:ETP), Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), The Blackstone Group (NYSE:BX)

With chatter that Warren Buffett is looking for a new acquisition for Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A), Cramer praised its former purchase of Burlington Northern, which was "well-timed... in a free trade moment." Cramer thinks Buffett is looking for a target that will transfer energy from one place to another, a pipeline company like Linn Energy (LINE), MarkWest Energy Partners (MWE) or Energy Transfer Partners (ETP).

As the two heavyweights, Amazon (AMZN) and Netflix (NFLX) are going to war, Cramer thinks that, without a doubt, Netflix will win, but it is not worth buying either one as high-multiple stocks are getting shot down by shorts and the media. Cramer might consider buying Netflix as a trading vehicle, but would give high-multiple stocks a wide berth.

When asked about Blackstone (BX), Cramer replied, "I don't know what they own. This is a classic case of something I can never own."
