MSN/Windows (MSFT) Live Search lost market share in December, according to a report by Nielsen/NetRatings. The research report said MSN handled just under 500 million searches in December, a number that was off 9.7% from December '05. That accounted for 8.4% of searches reported by NetRatings.
Yahoo's (YHOO) search traffic increased almost 30% to 1.4 billion, 23.6% of the market. Google (GOOG) still ruled the roost in search, with 51% of the market while handling 3 billion searches in December. That was 22.6% more than in December of 2005.
