Cramer's Stop Trading! Is Saudi Arabia Holding Stocks Hostage? (3/10/11)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on Cramer's Stop Trading! TV Segment, Thursday March 10.

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), Honeywell (NYSE:HON), IBM (NYSE:IBM)

After there seemed to be the beginning of a rally for high-flying stocks like Netflix (NFLX), Amazon (AMZN) and Apple (AAPL), the market was held hostage and taken down by news of a shooting in Saudi Arabia. Even though the country is large and is not yet in turmoil, the "little guy" investor sees a headline like this and sells.

Cramer thinks Honeywell (HON) is a good place to hide, because it, like IBM (IBM), outlined a five year plan with a tremendous sales and margin path that needs high energy prices. Since Honeywell controls 40% of the U.S.'s heating, that is good for Honeywell.
