U.S. companies dominate the index at 23.6% and companies involved must have a total market cap of $1 billion, and a 3 month average daily value traded above the liquidity threshold of $3 billion, reports Joanne Von Alroth of Investor's Business Daily.
S&P representatives have had conversations about turning the index into an ETF. The first global real estate ETF was launched in December, SPDR Dow Jones Wilshire International Real Estate (RWX):
