JP Morgan's largest new stock picks have lost 0.5% since the end of 2010, vs. 2.0% gain for the SPY. GM was JP Morgan's biggest new investment at the end of December 2010. GM has lost 13.6% since then, underperforming the SPY’s 2.0% return. GM is one of the five stocks where at least two insiders made recent purchases. JP Morgan has $709 million invested in GM.

VRX has had one of the best performances in its portfolio since the end of December. JP Morgan had $139 million in VRX shares at the end of December. VRX has gained 41% in the last three months, beating the SPY by a large margin. John Griffin's Blue Ridge Capital is also holding VRX shares in its portfolio. HealthCor’s Joseph Healey was expecting Valeant to double in the following 12 to 18 months. The worst performing stock among the new purchases of JP Morgan was TGA, losing 15.4% since the end of December.
