Cramer's Stop Trading! Where Is the Justice Department? (4/5/11)

Includes: GOOG, NSM, TXN
by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on Jim Cramer's Stop Trading! TV Segment, Tuesday April 5.

Texas Instruments (NYSE:TXN), National Semiconductor (NSM), Google (NASDAQ:GOOG)

Cramer thinks a government shutdown would be a good thing because it would force the government to make some needed cuts. "It may seen incredible," said Cramer, "But we could get the IMF here," if the debt situation worsens.

Concerning the Texas Instruments (TXN) merger with National Semiconductor (NSM), Cramer thinks NSM could be taken over at a 40% premium rather than a 78% premium. He added, "We don't have an anti-trust department you can just go and buy your biggest competitor. Where is the Justice Department? They are busy investigating Google (GOOG), they don't care about mergers."
