Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Friday May 13.
Bullish Calls:
Potash (POT): "Everyone has suddenly decided the agriculture market is bad because the dollar is strong, because crop forecasts are too bountiful. Forget about that. I'm talking about a long-term trend of the middle classification of the world...Potash is a great long-term play. Those who sell it have no concept of the future, only of the next 15 minutes."
Goldcorp (GG): "[Goldcorp] is a gold company, but sells silver as a by-product of gold. That way you are more diversified. GG is the stock you need."
CenturyLink (CTL), Verizon (VZ): "...I recommended CenturyLink when it broke down to $40. I think it is coming back. It has a solid yield...It is a great buy...but remember...this is the chance to start nibbling at Verizon going down for the first time of any consequence since the AT&T (T) and T-Mobile (DTEGY.PK) deal."
JPMorgan (JPM): "Is the best of the best, but it doesn't matter. It is still a bank.... banks are revenue-challenged, and there is a new organization, a consumer protection bureau. JPM is the first that who will play by the rules...but I am bearish on banks...'Nuff said."
Baidu (BIDU), Sina (SINA): "Here's the problem... the Chinese market is falling apart...definitely the dot.coms. Sina is the trade. Baidu is the investment. I would stick with Baidu...Baidu I want to buy on weakness."
Bearish Calls:
Sina (SINA): "Sina is a dice roll...Sina is really tough...beware Chinese internet stocks; they are right now...poison."
Silver Standard (SSRI): "Silver got killed...If you want silver, I'll send you to Goldcorp."
