Bank of America (BAC) as begun offering credit cards to customers without Social Security numbers, typically illegal immigrant. In recent years, banks across the country have been offering checking accounts and even mortgages to the nation's fast-growing ranks of undocumented immigrants, most of whom are Hispanic.

General Electric. (GE), which is running a marketing campaign promoting itself as environmentally friendly, has pushed to weaken smog controls for railroad locomotives in rules about to be proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Wells Fargo (WFC) will offer up to 100 free online trades a year to customers with at least $25,000 in balances at the No. 5 U.S. bank. The San Francisco-based company made its announcement four months after Bank of America, the No. 2 bank, said it will do the same thing. This is bad news for Charles Schwab, E Trade and TD Ameritrade.

Nasdaq Stock Market (QQQQ), the second- largest U.S. equity market, said earnings more than tripled to $3 million after it raised trading fees and lured business from NYSE Group (NYX).
