The Bureau of Economic Analysis has a great website
that offers countless tables and databases
. We were able to extract out a few things from the website that we thought were interesting, but it would take months to peruse the entire site and take advantage of everything it has to offer.
In the first chart below, we highlight the percentage of GDP contributed by personal spending of durable goods, non-durable goods and services on a yearly basis. Breaking up the services category, we see that medical costs continue to make up a greater portion of GDP.

The site also has a breakdown of foreign investment in the US. Below we highlight the percentage breakdown by country in 2005.
