One way to search for potentially undervalued stocks is by comparing mean analyst target price to today’s price. When a stock is trading at a discount to target price, it may indicate an undervalued opportunity.

Although target price is known to suffer from an upward bias, when the stock is trading at a steep discount, it may be undervalued.

We ran a screen on large-cap stocks that are technically oversold, with RSI(14) below 40. We screened this universe for stocks trading at steep discounts to their target price.
