Tip for tax credits on house improvements

As the summer comes to a close its time to consider ways to save money during the winter months. Here is an energy saving improvement you can make to your home that will qualify you for tax credits from the government:


According to Bob Scharin, editor of the Research Institute of America's "Practical Tax Strategies" if you install a solar water heater or a solar electric system you can receive a tax credit for 30% of the purchase costs up to a maximum of $2,000.

And, of course, using solar heat is a good way to cut down on your heating expenses!
