Earnings season is now halfway complete, and so far the average US stock that has reported has declined about 0.3% on the day of its report (for stocks that report after the close, we use the next day's change). But even though the average stock has gone down in reaction to its report, there have been plenty of big winners. Below is a list of the best performing stocks (>14%) on their report days this season.

As shown, ZOLL Medical (NASDAQ:ZOLL) currently has top honors with a gain of 25.76% this past Friday. Questor Pharma (NASDAQ:QCOR) ranks second with a gain of 25%, followed by Town Sports (NASDAQ:CLUB), Stamps.com (NASDAQ:STMP), TAL Education (NYSE:XRS), and Sanmina (NASDAQ:SANM). A few other notables on the list include Lexmark (NYSE:LXK), Green Mountain Coffee (NASDAQ:GMCR), and Crocs (NASDAQ:CROX). Only four S&P 500 companies have made the cut: LXK, RHI, MHS, and LSI. Google, which isn't on the list, currently has the fifth biggest earnings-day gain in the S&P 500 at 12.98%. Morgan Stanley ranks 6th with a gain of 11.42%.
