Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Wednesday August 3.

Bullish Calls:

Marathon Oil (NYSE:MRO), Carrizo Oil & Gas (NASDAQ:CRZO): "MRO's quarter was not so hot, but it was the first quarter out of the chute. Carrizo can be taken over, and it has good earnings. I would take Carrizo over MRO, but I like MRO."

Health Care REIT (NYSE:HCN): "These have all been killed...they are not idiots...they do expect, given time, there will be re-entrenchement from Washington. I think they are buys. I really do, I think they have cushion."

Apache (NYSE:APA): "It has the greatest growth profile of almost all of them. I think Apache is absolutely terrific. When oil goes down, these all go down. Let's not out think it."

Johnson Controls (NYSE:JCI): "It's just been killed. I think the quarter was fine...We want to continue to buy this stock. We think the future is better than the past...I think that is going to get better. I think JCI is a screaming buy at $36."

Bearish Calls:

CenturyLink (NYSE:CTL): (caller asked if the dividend is safe) "No, not after today...they are making much, much less money than they thought they were going to make. It was extremely disappointing...that was a hideous quarter. One of the worst I've seen."

IntraLinks Holdings (NYSE:IL): "That was also a hideous quarter that rivals CenturyLink's quarter for lack of pulchritude...I got to wait to see another quarter...we don't know yet...let's wait and see...let's not pull the trigger."
