Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Wednesday August 17.
Bullish Calls:
Alcoa (AA): "I want you to buy more...Klaus Kleinfeld [CEO] is the real deal. The economy got soft in the world...people think they got it wrong. The cash flow is bountiful, they've got a gas turbine business...Alcoa is coming back, and it's going to be bigger than ever."
Crocs (CROX): "Is a great story, and when the stock went back to $24, I didn't pull the trigger. My bad, I am chagrined. If it goes back there, I'm recommending it."
Covidien (COV): "You hold on and you buy more. It is one of the cheapest healthcare companies out there. That is a buy, buy, buy. I'm glad you brought it to everyone's attention."
Apple (AAPL): (concerning questions about the future of Apple in light of Steve Jobs' health): "I think this man has built a great team. There are many great people at Apple. All tech is coming down, and I expect Apple to go down, and that is where you buy. Steve Jobs is a great man and he is the greatest industrialist of all time."
Express Scripts (ESRX): "If the deal (for Medco Health) is blocked, ESRX goes up, and if it isn't blocked, they have a great powerhouse company."
Bearish Calls:
Robert Half International (RHI): "We don't want that right now...people think we are going into a recession. This is not the stock to own."
Medco Health (MHS): "You want to own the pursuer (of MHS), Express Scripts."
Dolby Laboratories (DLB): "You need home theaters to do better. This is not a bull market stock...take the money and run."
Alcatel-Lucent (ALU): "That has been one of the worst stocks ever and I've been telling people to sell since $80, and I reiterate it here, sell, sell, sell."
First Niagara Financial Group (FNFG): "I just want to hold it...it does have a very high yield...almost 6%, but it is a bank, and you know how I feel about banks."
