Tip on Watching Streaming Video Online

If you're not interested in taking the time and effort needed to download video to your computer or to larding up your hard drive with the gigabytes of storage required for movies and TV, try watching streaming video.

Many websites are trying to aggregate what's available online for streaming, or VOD, viewing. They skirt copyright problems by being compilations of information. They don't actually host the programs or permit illegal uploads. Two of the best we've found are the websites alluc.org (All You See, get it?) and peekvid, which aggregate information on TV shows and movies available online. It's not as if everything is always available, but they point to a lot of links.

Veoh is my personal favorite, because it combines a download and a player. “Subscribe” to a person's uploads, and the shows he posts will automatically download to your computer when new ones become available. All you have to do is turn on the computer and watch. Just like TV! What a concept.
