The Price/Book Value is a great price-multiple valuation metric that is often overlooked by many. This ratio compares the market value of a company to the book value it holds. It is calculated by dividing the last closing price of the stock by the firm’s most recent book value per share. If the ratio comes out lower than 1, it is considered to be trading below its intrinsic “break up” value. The lower the number, the more potential value an investor may be able to derive if there isn’t anything fundamentally wrong with the firm.

A firm’s one-year fiscal revenue growth rate illustrates how well a firm is growing the top line over multiple quarters. This helps investors identify which firms are continuing to grow despite global headwinds.

We ran a screen for companies with a P/BV Ratio of less than 1 that have outperformed the market this year. We then screened for firms with a one-year fiscal revenue growth rate of 15% of higher. The P/BV Ratio ranks the list from highest to lowest. Short interest info is as of Aug. 15.
