John Paulson founded Paulson & Co in 1994. He graduated first in his class and received his bachelor's degree in finance from New York University. He has also an MBA from Harvard Business School. Paulson became famous for his bets against subprime mortgages. In 2010, he made $5 billion by betting on gold.

Eric Mindich is the founder of Eton Park Capital Management. Mindich has a BA in Economics from Harvard and 15 years of experience at Goldman Sachs, leading the firm’s equities risk arbitrage business and managing the firm’s equities division.

Southern Union Co New (SUG) is engaged in the gathering, processing, transportation, storage and distribution of natural gas in the United States. Paulson had $182 million invested in SUG, while Mindich invested $40 million. SUG has a market cap of $5.11B, a P/E ratio of 22.23, and returned 2.34% since the end of June. Michael Lowenstein had $252 million invested in SUG.

Ralcorp Holdings (RAH) is engaged in manufacturing, distribution and marketing of private-brand food products. Paulson had $320 million invested in RAH, while Mindich invested $94 million. RAH has a market cap of $4.14B, a P/E ratio of 18.54, and returned -12.76% since the end of June. James Dinan had $114 million in RAH shares at the end of June.

JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM) is a financial holding company. Paulson had $444 million invested in JPM, while Mindich invested $344 million. JPM has a market cap of $118.02B, a P/E ratio of 6.46, and returned -27.28% since the end of June. SPDR Gold Trust (GLD) is an investment trust. Paulson had $4.6 billion invested in GLD, while Mindich invested $118 million. Citigroup Inc (C) is a global diversified financial services holding company. Paulson had $1.4 billion invested in C while Mindich invested $81 million. C has a market cap of $75.57B, a P/E ratio of 7.87, and returned -40.00% since the end of June. Bruce Berkowitz and Bill Ackman both invested nearly $1 billion in Citigroup.

Bank of America Corp (BAC) is a bank and financial holding company. Paulson had $842 million invested in BAC, while Mindich invested $231 million. BAC has a market cap of $65.26B and returned -42.37% since the end of June. Bruce Berkowitz had over $1 billion invested in BAC shares.
