Stocks from the exchange NASDAQ are often characterized by a technology related business with high growth and low dividends. More than 70 percent of the NASDAQ listed stocks pay no dividends. Only 6 percent have a yield of more than 5 percent. No favorable conditions for dividend investors. The biggest dividends come from the telecom industry followed by semiconductors.

I screened the NASDAQ by stocks with a dividend yield of more than 5 percent and a low forward price to earnings ratio (a value under 15). In addition, the price to sales ratio should not above 2. Roughly 40 stocks fulfilled these criteria. In order to exclude risks from low capitalized stocks, I decided to observe only stocks with a market capitalization of more than $2 billion. 8 stocks remained. Here are my favorite picks:

1. Vodafone Group (NASDAQ:VOD) is acting within the wireless communications industry. The company has a market capitalization of $136.0 billion, generates revenues in an amount of $70.4 billion and a net income of $12.2 billion. It follows P/E ratio is 11.2 and forward price to earnings ratio 8.7, Price/Sales 1.9 and Price/Book ratio 1.0. Dividend Yield: 5.6 percent. The beta ratio amounts to 0.86.
