Miriam Metzinger submits: Stocks discussed in the lightning round session of Jim Cramer’s Mad Money TV program, Thursday March 15. Click on a stock ticker for more analysis:
ABB (NYSE:ABB): 'use the weakness - where they brought it back to $16 - to buy that stock hand over fist. I love the construction game. Remember, they know how to do nuclear.'
Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ:RVBD): 'RVBD's down so much now that I don't want to sell it, but remember, I don't really like technology right now... there's only a handful of technology stocks that I like, but with RVBD down here, I think you ought to pull the trigger.'
Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ): ' ... you know my fave is HPQ.'
Allegheny Technologies (NYSE:ATI): 'People should be buying ATI. They make the titanium that goes into airplanes, and they make the titanium that goes into refineries for ethanol... and we're putting up an ethanol refinery pretty much everywhere...'
Gilead Sciences (NASDAQ:GILD)
Investors Bancorp (NASDAQ:ISBC): 'I know a lot of people are worried about sub-prime ... This is a really fabulous company... This thing sells at less than 2x book value. I have examined it many times, and I would say without a doubt, that that is a great stock, especially when the Fed starts cutting.'
Dean Foods (NYSE:DF): 'I applaud DF management! DF rocks! They have done everything they can to help shareholders. I think that's a company I celebrate on Mad Money, and they're always welcome anytime they want on this show...'
Level 3 Communications (NYSE:LVLT): 'Some people ask me, 'Jim, could you give me a stock for a decade?' I always hate to do that, because business changes, but Jim Crow, their CEO, is without a doubt, a visionary ... I'm sticking by LVLT.'
Qwest Communications (NYSE:Q): ' ... Q, which I hope gets that giant U.S. government contract. Q and LVLT - two Colorado companies that ought to combine.'
Sirius Satellite Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI): 'I think the deal gets done. At $3.30, I see no downside, frankly, other than maybe 10 cents. I want to pull the trigger right here.'
Reliant Energy Inc. (RRI): '... RRI is the winner there. It's based in Houston. I want to own that, even at its 52-week high.'
Acme Packet (NASDAQ:APKT): 'Look, I think... This is a very tough moment for tech. I still like that stock down here. Boy, has it come down.'
Ciber Inc (NYSE:CBR): 'this is one of those consultant companies, that I always default to - let's buy Indian consulting ... I don't know this company well enough to be able to opine on it... It's too small. I don't know the situation. I have to come back...'
Titanium Metals (TIE): ' This, like everything else that is in the titanium world, is going nuts. Now, this one is not my favorite.'
Sanofi-Aventis (NYSE:SNY): ' SNY is not one of my favorites. I happen to like the yield of 2.7%... but it's big pharma, and I just have no appetite for big pharma whatsoever'
Quality Systems (NASDAQ:QSII): 'It saves money in the healthcare system. I like that, but there are so many others that I like more in healthcare - don't buy, don't buy'
MedImmune (MEDI): 'Disasterous quarter. It's got some aggressive investors trying to make something happen. Candidly, I've got to tell you, if something doesn't happen there, you've got a stinker ... I say ix-nay on the MEDI.'
