Brinker (NYSE:EAT) is expected to report Q1 earnings before the market open on Wednesday, October 26 with a conference call scheduled for 10:00 am ET.
Analysts are looking for EPS of 27c on revenue of $671.05M. The consensus range is 20c-32c for EPS, and $658.8M-$682.04M for revenue, according to First Call. After reporting better-than-expected earnings and revenue numbers in Q4, the parent company of Chili's Grill & Bar forecast FY12 restaurant sales to grow by 2.6%. It also saw full-year EPS of $1.80-$1.95 vs. consensus $1.82. In the past quarter, it increased its quarterly dividend by 14% to 16c per share.
However, Brinker was downgraded to Neutral at Suntrust, citing disappointing progress at Chili's and macro challenges. The company was also resumed with a Neutral at Goldman. Currently bracketed between a 52-week low of $17.96 and a 52-week high of $26.80, trading has remained constant ahead of the earnings report.
