Viacom (NYSE:VIA) is expected to report Q4 earnings before the market open on Thursday, November 10 with a conference call scheduled for 8:30 am ET.
Analysts are looking for EPS of $1.03 on revenue of $3.75B. The consensus range is 98c-$1.09 for EPS, and $3.37B-$3.92B for revenue, according to First Call. Viacom had beaten earnings and revenue estimates in its previous quarter. While the Q3 results showed positive growth for its filmed entertainment, home entertainment, and media networks division, Viacom reported a 9% decline in theatrical revenue. In an effort to beef up on theatrical division, Viacom's Paramount Pictures announced a $700M upgrade for its Hollywood lot. Investors will look for an update on its new animation unit, which is still expecting to release its first title in 2014. Other updates the company is expected to give include the legal status of a copyright suit with Google (NASDAQ:GOOG), and its recently created Home Media Distribution division.
