Most readers of financial news and analysis are email power users, because they want to be notified if an important story hits the tape about a stock they own or are watching. Most also follow key market developments every day. So it's no surprise that Seeking Alpha's free email alerts are enormously popular.

Yesterday we made a simple but impactful improvement to our email alerts. Many of our email subscribers choose to see all headlines for the day, and because Seeking Alpha publishes more articles than any other finance website we know of, that has resulted in a rather unweildy email.

Yesterday we rolled out a new format for our daily digest email that you can see here (click both images to enlarge):

Stock Market Email Alerts

Stock Updates by Email

The immediate feedback we got was positive. One hedge fund manager said:

This is amazing, so good i actually just changed my settings to include "all articles" in the format of "headlines only 1 email per day"....this is great !!!!

And another fund manager, commenting on the breadth of coverage this highlights, wrote:

What you have done is nothing short of awesome.

There are still glitches to iron out. The emails don't display well on a Blackberry, and there's room to raise the readability and usefulness further.

If you're not already a subscriber, it takes two minutes to sign up for the daily digest email from Seeking Alpha, and it's free.

After you sign up, let us know what you think.
