52 Week High: $70.54
52 Week Low: $14.86

Analysts are expecting an improvement of $0.42 in earnings per share compared to last quarter's results of $0.80. Investors will be looking to top $1.22 per share, based on the estimated mean earnings.
It may appear that analysts have not been keeping a close eye on the stock price. If the overall market is a good indication of what awaits investors during the earnings release, it doesn't look promising. RIM is currently trading to new lows and below $15 a share for the first time since May 2004. It's hard even for this bear to short RIM, but for those who have, they are doing very well. By the looks of the short interest at over 8%, many have done very well shorting RIM.
Revenue year-over-year has increased to $19.91 billion for 2011 vs. $14.95 billion for 2010. The bottom line has rising earnings year-over-year of $3.41 billion for 2011 vs. $2.46 billion for 2010. The company's earnings before interest and taxes are rising with an EBIT year-over-year of $4.64 billion for 2011 vs. $3.24 billion for 2010. Rising revenue along with rising earnings is a very good sign and what we want to see with our companies. Be sure to check the margins to make sure that the bottom line is keeping up with the top line.

I use a proprietary blend of technical analysis, financial crowd behavior and fundamentals in my short-term trades, and while not totally the same in longer swing trades to investments, the concepts used are similar. You may want to use this article as a starting point of your own research with your financial planner. I use Seeking Alpha, Edgar Online and Yahoo Finance for most of my data. I use the "confirmed" symbols from earnings.com that I believe to be of the most interest.
