Bullish calls:
Celgene (CELG) 'We've got so many great biotechs. CELG!'
Alcoa (AA)
Brocade Communications (BRCD): ' ... they bought their biggest competitor, McData... I want you to stick with it. If it goes back to $9, I want you to buy more ('mon-back sound).'
Halliburton (HAL)
Transocean (RIG)
GlobalSantaFe (GSF): ' ... was knocked down hideously by a really dumbo seller whose now gone, and that stock's headed to $66.'
Henry Schein (HSIC): 'This is a company at its 52-week high ... as money comes out of the drug group, it goes into healthcare products ... HSIC's one of them. It's a terrific stock. If it pulls back, you know what we're doing, we're giving it a buy to the ninth degree. Buy, buy, buy!'
Cheesecake Factory (CAKE): 'I think they can raise price. My friend, Bob Olstein was recommending this the other day, and I feel that CAKE is too low. It's 10 points off its high. Let's buy some CAKE!'
Diageo (DEO)
Gilead Sciences (GILD)
Genzyme (GENZ)
Celgene (CELG)
Akamai Technologies (AKAM): 'I think you should not give up the ship. tech is awful ... I gave a couple of exceptions. Even the exceptions aren't working. AKAM is one of the best companies in the world. It is just fabulous for making fast video on the web... I will reiterate that I want to buy AKAM. Buy, buy, buy!... But understand... tech is awful!'
Gerdau (GGB): ' this is one of the best steel companies in the world. You know I like this. I liked it appreciably lower ... and I want to stay long it. You are not being a pig. I am blessing this...'
Global Sources (GSOL): 'this is a global trade play ... I think you should buy GSOL. It's 4 points off its high. Remember, it's still up 46% year over year. I think GSOL is a good play. I'm going to reiterate buy.'
Harso Corp (HSC): 'I mentioned HSC last week, which has always been one of my favorite manufacturing companies... It turns out, they've reinvented this company, and they have more service contracts than they actually do in industrial manufacturing. My hats off to HSC ... It's a better company than even I thought, and I thought pretty highly last week...'
Allergan (AGN): ' don't worry so much about the darn challenges to Botox... I think that's a mistake. I'd rather see you in AGN down here at $110.'
Neutral calls:
Theravance (THRX): 'All right, I've got to take a pass on this one. I don't know the THRX.'
Bearish calls:
Seeking Alpha publishes a summary of Jim Cramer's stock picks every day including: Mad Money Recap, Lightning Round, Stop Trading and Wall Street ConfidentialNabi Biopharmaceuticals (NABI): 'No, no. We've got so many great biotechs. CELG!'
Neustar (NSR): 'I looked at it. It's one of these companies that does behind-the-scenes stuff for the telecommunications industry ... Frankly, I don't really see how proprietary it is .. .Don't buy, don't buy.'
Wyeth (WYE)
Helmerich & Payne (HP): ' Oh man, I really like HP. This is a drilling company, but the problem is - - there is not a great boom in drilling in the Gulf... they are not keeping pace with my two faves, which is HAL of course, RIG.'
Constellation Brands (STZ): 'Keep looking! Don't pull the trigger! Sell, sell, sell! That is a trainwreck!'
LCA-Vision (LCAV): ' ... I don't really care for the laser vision plays... I've never been that good at those. I've got to stay away from them.'
Bemis (BMS): 'I think BMS is a very-difficult-to-get-your-arms-around stock ... Flexible packaging is not that great a business.'
Sonoco (SON)
Amgen (AMGN): 'I'm deeply discouraged by the action in AMGN. I had felt that this level is the right level, however, may I remind you that GILD, GENZ, and then CELG are my biotech stocks for 2007, and I'm not backing away from those. I'd rather be in those than AMGN.'
