One of the most important considerations with dividend stocks is company liquidity. If a company has a temporary dip in earnings, it may need to use sources of liquidity such as cash and marketable securities to bridge the gap and continue paying their dividend. This is why companies with strong liquidity are considered to pay more sustainable dividends.

With this idea in mind, we ran a screen on dividend stocks with strong liquidity, with current ratios greater than 3. We also screened for highly profitable stocks, we screened for those beating their industry peers on gross, operating, and pretax margins.
