This week we will turn our focus to a subject, and writer, that has gotten a lot of interest recently; dividend investing. With all the turmoil in the markets dividend stocks have been getting more and more attention. The debate is as volatile as the markets: Do we look for high yields, consistent dividend issuers, or complex products like REITs, mREITs or even dividend ETFs?
One contributor that has written about this topic is Regarded Solutions. Regarded Solutions is retired and lives in South Florida. He began writing for Seeking Alpha toward the end of October 2011, and realized he was pretty good at it - and was very well received. He has also previously written on brand strategy in "Floor Focus Magazine" in mid 2011 and was critically acclaimed for that article as well.
Regarded Solutions began his investing "career" in his early 20s and has been successfully investing with a knack for knowing when to buy, what to buy, and how to grow a portfolio for over 40 years. As a result, he was able to retire from his 30-year career in the carpet industry when he was just 55 years old and was able to grow his portfolio even during the 2006-2009 market collapse.
RS manages his family's portfolios, helps others at no charge whatsoever, and says Seeking Alpha has given him a new life as he navigates through his retirement years.
As the Director of Contributor Development here at Seeking Alpha, I have had the pleasure of working with RS extensively and have enjoyed reading many of his articles. So for this week's contributor spotlight, I have highlighted a recent series of RS's articles titled, "Retirement Strategy: Buy On Dips, Add To Core Holdings."
In his series Regarded Solutions offers a strategy to investors who are retired or nearing retirement that is an alternative to just standing by. I believe this type of series is what makes Seeking Alpha valuable to investors, and our contributors are the ones who drive such ideas.
If you are interested in following Regarded Solutions or any of the stocks mentioned in this article I encourage you to register as a Seeking Alpha user to experience the different tools we have created to help you track your stocks on Seeking Alpha.
Have a great weekend!
