Brinker (NYSE:EAT) is expected to report Q2 earnings before the open on Tuesday, January 24, with a conference call scheduled for 10:00 am ET.
Analysts are looking for a profit of 45c on revenue of $686.07M. The consensus range is 42c-48c for EPS, and revenue of $674.60M-$699.70M, according to First Call.
Brinker, which has surprised to the upside on earnings for the last four quarters in a row, had its price target raised to $30 from $27 by UBS on December 23. Also in December, Raymond James identified Brinker as one of its "best picks" for 2012. Investors will be interested in whether the company's traffic trend improved, after comparable restaurant sales and traffic rose 1.9% in Q1, following a 2.6% increase during the previous quarter.
