Instead, investors looking for fat dividends have to look beyond the mega-cap companies that are household names to large companies that pay high dividends and are priced low relative to their earnings, like the stocks on this list. Each has a market cap over $2 billion, a forward P/E ratio under 10, a dividend yield over 10% and an analyst recommendation of buy or better.

Och-Ziff Capital Management Group (NYSE:OZM) is an asset management company with a $3.57 billion market cap. It is currently priced at 8.20 times its forward earnings. The company pays a 10.96% dividend yield and has returned 16.05% year-to-date. Analysts give OZM a 1.8 on a scale in which 1.0 means "Strong Buy" and 5.0 means "Sell." It recently traded at $9.64 a share. Analysts give the company a one-year target estimate of $12.44 share.

MFA Financial, Inc. (NYSE:MFA) is a diversified real-estate investment trust (REIT) with a $2.48 billion market cap. It is currently priced at 7.16 times its forward earnings. The company pays a 14.39% dividend yield and has returned 3.42% year-to-date. Analysts give MFA a 2.2 on a scale in which 1.0 means "Strong Buy" and 5.0 means "Sell." It recently traded at $6.96 a share. Analysts give the company a one-year target estimate of $7.70 share.

Annaly Capital Management, Inc. (NYSE:NLY) is a diversified real-estate investment trust with a $15.96 billion market cap. It is currently priced at 7.18 times its forward earnings.
