Analysts are looking for EPS of 38c on revenue of $8.31B. The consensus range is 31c-43c for EPS, and $8.1B-$8.7B for revenue, according to First Call. On its Q3 earnings report, Delta missed EPS but beat revenue estimates. Despite traffic being down in the quarter, the company forecast strong demand in Q4 and “solid” revenue trends. At its Investor Day in December, the company said Q4 passenger unit revenue would be up 11%-12% and it expected to be “solidly profitable” in FY12. Recent sentiment has been positive despite modestly lower traffic during the quarter. October traffic was down 3.8%, while November and December figures were down 1.9% and 2.3%, respectively. The shares have risen approximately 10% since late October, and have made a recent jump of about 17% since early January.
