Below is an updated list of the best and worst performing stocks on their earnings report days this season. For stocks that report after the close, we use the next day's change. As shown, Solutia (NYSE:SOA) ranks first with a gain of 41.06% on its report day, but that was due to a buyout offer that the stock also received that day. Cepheid (NASDAQ:CPHD) ranks second with a gain of 25.59%, followed by 8x8 (NASDAQ:EGHT), Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), and Arctic Cat (NASDAQ:ACAT). Other notables on the list of earnings season winners include Skyworks (NASDAQ:SWKS), F5 Networks (NASDAQ:FFIV), and Tempur-Pedic (NYSE:TPX). (Click charts to enlarge.)

Flagstar Bancorp (NYSE:FBC) has had the worst one-day performance on its report day this season with a decline of 22.72%. Carbo Ceramics (NYSE:CRR) ranks second worst at -20.63%, followed closely by Monster Worldwide (NYSE:MWW) with a decline of 20.38%. Other notable earnings season losers include Sealy (NYSE:ZZ), Sandisk (NASDAQ:SNDK), Corning (NYSE:GLW), Google (NASDAQ:GOOG), and Citigroup (NYSE:C).
