Research In Motion (ticker: RIMM) which manufactures the Blackberry wireless e-mail device is planning a roll-out in China. Chairman and CEO Jim Balsillie had the following to say during management's Q2 2006 earnings results conference call:

As an update on our ongoing efforts in China, we continue to work closely with China Mobile on testing and launch plans for BlackBerry and we are currently running beta trials with over 20 corporations in Beijing and Shanghai. We look forward to finalizing launch plans with China Mobile and are targeting to offer BlackBerry service in China by our fiscal year end.
