Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group is Trading under ADR Ticker: MTU

Following the merger between Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group and UFJ Holdings, the former Mitsubishi ADR (MTF) is no longer being traded. The new trading symbol is (MTU) under the new operating name of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group.

In its first day of post-merger trading MTU finished down .58 (4.45%) at $12.45. Its Japanese shares trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (ticker: 8306) were down 1.41% on Tuesday despite a strong advance by the Nikkei225 Index. All major Japanese banks were laggards on Tuesday largely because of the yen weakening against the dollar.
