Bullish calls:
Apple (AAPL): 'AAPL could come down. It shouldn't, because that was a magnificent quarter... let it come in but, as it comes in, buy some AAPL.'
Ford (F): 'I am squarely in the camp of F and the F converts (convertible bonds)... Mulally - I'm a believer, and I am not a believer in most managements... I would buy F.'
Abbott Laboratories (ABT): 'I think that ABT was treated poorly by the market for a quarter that was a thing of beauty. Honestly, I went line-by-line on that one, and saw nothing wrong with it. ABT, at $55, could be a steal in the drug group. I like that company. It's incredibly well-run.'
Level 3 Communications (LVLT): 'It has now pulled back. It is a archetype of what I want to own right now... a big balance sheet that's getting smaller. In other words, getting less debt. The stock is going to be a great second half stock... I am saying yes to LVLT.'
Cephid (CPHD)
Bearish calls:

I think that FLEX - along with SLR - I just think this group is way, way too overexposed to the downturn. I want you out of FLEX now.'
Solectron (SLR)
Jones Soda (JSDA): 'I personally believe that that up $1.50 today... that could be an opportunity to schnitzel a little... That's right! Take a little off the table JSDA. If it comes back below $19.00 ... we'll buy that stock back.'
Dawson Geophysical (DWSN): 'If the stock sells off, then you want to buy ... Oil service is for sale right now ... I want you to let this one come in, before you buy it'
Cemex (CX):'Anything that is totally housing-related - even though it's got a Mexican component - I cannot get behind, because I am going to cost you money.'
MEMC Electronic Materials (WFR): 'I apologized about this one on Friday ... Remember, earlier on, I said the semiconductor equipment companies aren't doing well. That includes silicon makers. I think that WFR was not ready ... I have to go back to a 'don't buy, don't buy' because I believe that there are too many momentum players in this number.'
