9 High Yield Stocks Going Ex-Dividend Next Week

Dividend stocks are wonderful because they increase my cash with regular payments. One major date in relation to the payment is the ex-dividend date. If you own a stock before this date, you get the next payment. This is very interesting because in the case of a high yield stock, I can earn at least one percent in cash for a short period of investing.

I screened stocks with ex-dividend date within the upcoming week. 139 common and preferred shares have their ex-dividend date between February 06 and February 12. Exactly 2 of them yielding above 10 percent and 12 have a yield of more than 5 percent but less than 10 percent. Many of them have a high yield because the market believes that the dividend is not sustainable. Especially in the case of low capitalized stocks, the possibility of a dividend cut is much higher as for stocks with a higher capitalization. Because of this, I decided to select only those stocks with a market capitalization above $300 million. These are the results sorted by dividend yield:

1. Niska Gas Storage Partners (NYSE:NKA) has a market capitalization of $639.26 million. The company employs 129 people, generates revenues of $230.08 million and has a net income of $57.46 million. The firm's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization amounts to $150.78 million. Because of these figures, the EBITDA margin is 65.54% (operating margin 11.91% and the net profit margin finally 24.97%).

Here are the price ratios of the company: The P/E ratio is 7.67, Price/Sales 2.78 and Price/Book ratio 0.69. Dividend Yield: 14.96 percent. The ex-dividend date is on February 09, 2012.

2. Navios Maritime Partners (NYSE:NMM) has a market capitalization of $775.99 million. The company employs 186 people, generates revenues of $186.95 million and has a net income of $65.34 million. The firm's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization amounts to $137.73 million. Because of these figures, the EBITDA margin is 73.67% (operating margin 34.95% and the net profit margin finally 34.95%).
