Echo To All submits: All the talk about Microsoft (MSFT) and Yahoo (YHOO) caused a lot of the traditional media not look at Google's (GOOG) YouTube’s ‘one step closer to Revenue sharing' announcement. Duncan Riley from TechCrunch wrote about it.

Essentially, all YouTube announced was that its popular creators can became ‘Partners’. No other details were really provided. And here in lies the importance of Riley’s post. It still underscores the uncertainty and confusion within the blog-o-sphere as to how YouTube will provide the ads and share revenue.

I try not to look into this announcement as much as Riley because not enough info was provided. But the reason I do find the announcement interesting is that it underscores YouTube’s organization of content (and its creators) within the site. This will make it easy and an efficient means for advertisers to choose which Partners their ads should be associated with. (And I am sure the ads will be embedded within the videos.) This also prevents, to some degree, random uploadings of copyrighted material to be incorporated in the revenue sharing stream. (But I am sure Mark Cuban and Viacom (VIA) will still not be happy.)

I like how they are organizing the community, and get the feeling the ads are right around the corner. The organization allows for consistent growth, satisfaction and a level of control to the advertisers and YouTube community.

I am very interested to see how this develops.
