Industrial Production Numbers To Lead Energy Sector Lower Today?

The numbers for April Industrial Production were just released, 0.4% higher than analysts' expectations (0.7% v 0.3% est). We looked back over the last year at sector performance on days when production numbers beat expectations. While the best sector has been mixed, we found that three out of four times the energy sector underperformed on the day the indicator came out.
