Earlier this week commercial building and in-store advertising network operator Focus Media (ticker: FMCN) acquired advertising firm Framedia. The following are management comments from the conference call announcing the deal:

CEO Jason Jiang

So to summarize, the acquisition of Framedia allows Focus Media to continue to build our multimedia platform, to extend our advertisers' reach through our (indiscernible) metropolitan consumers at different states and locations. And by increasing the frequency of exposure of their commercial to those people (indiscernible) maturity of consumption power in China we can increase the comp (ph) effectiveness of our advertisers using advertising during the daytime and out of door media to influence those consumers' brand selection process.

CFO Daniel Wu

In its networks Framedia owns and operates directly 73,000 frames plus 40,000 brands under contract. So currently Framedia's network has about 90,000 -- approximately 90,000 frames in its network. Most of them in the residential (indiscernible) and in the elevator and in the elevated lobby. Through partnerships Framedia can cover an additional 26 cities and can access up to an additional 70,000 frames. And those are less important cities and those are single city operators in those local cities that allow Framedia to purchase capacity depends on the need of advertisers and depends on the demand. So that is the network itself.
