For the last three weeks, daily sales at the local Apple (AAPL) Retail Store have been 150% over the daily goal. Just this week it has been 200% over goal.

Reasons for the jump may be attributed to the worldwide headlines surrounding the iPhone coupled with an aggressive sales campaign offering back to school students a free printer and free iPod with a Mac purchase.

Further sales increases may be forthcoming as store traffic is expected to rise exponentially with the release of the iPhone, which is scheduled for 6pm June 29.

Additionally, recent announcements concerning Leopard Mac OS X version 10.5 show it is scheduled to ship in October and will be available through the Apple Store, Apple's retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers for a suggested retail price of $499 for a 10-client edition, and $999 for an unlimited-client edition. This combined with the recent breakthrough in LCD display technology for the 15 inch MacBook Pro and the higher speed chips pose the Apple Retail Stores for further increases.

You are confusing this with the OSX Server software. The price of this is $129.

This does not exactly encourage me to read your articles again.

I also didn't see this kind of activity in the Boston-area stores. They seem more or less on plan and not above.

This post seems pretty random to me.

I'd love to know how anyone can get this information. What are your sources? 150%, 200% above plan? I's like to believe it, but I don't.

Come on... why don't you go read up before posting randomly. People keep doing this, and they continue to look foolish. It's $129.
