NetScout's Pain Is Radcom's Gain

After listening to the NetScout (NASDAQ:NTCT) Q3 FY2016 earnings call, I was reminded of I Love Lucy and Ricky Ricardo's famous line:

Lucy, you've got some 'splainin' to do!

That's because I'm not buying NetScout's earnings call comments from CEO Anil Singhal or CFO Jean Bua, especially as it relates to the company losing a virtual probe deal to a "small vendor."

In my view, the NetScout earnings call left far more questions than answers after the company reduced its forward revenue guidance due to "macroeconomic concerns." In light of what is happening in the telecom sector as carriers begin to transition capital spending to NFV, I'm not sure reality comports with Mr. Singhal's characterization of the current
