The January jobs report came out on Friday, February 5, 2016. The report showed that 151,000 jobs were added in January. That number was lower than expected, but it was enough to lower the unemployment rate to 4.9%, the lowest in eight years. In addition, average hourly wages are up 2.5% over the past year. Here are my thoughts on the full report and our outlook for the rest of the year.
