What started as an idea has now turned into a wonderful joint venture between DGI Guy and myself. We have started a podcast that focuses on dividend investing. What does that mean? For most of us, it means finding companies that pay dividends and have a propensity to grow that dividend over time. However, we are taking some liberty with that specific notion and defining dividends more broadly as income or passive cash flow from investments. We will have special guests that will talk about their history with investing, the metrics they use, the mistakes they made, and more. We may even venture into some alternatives to stocks and explore investments like bonds, preferred stocks, closed-end funds, and possibly, options and even lending sites like Prosper or Lending Club.
We will be using Seeking Alpha as our exclusive "print page" or hard copy reference on the highlights of what each episode will include. This won't be a full transcript, but what we talk about on each episode with our Articles of the Week and the items we touch upon with our invited guests and the links as references.
In our premier episode, we talk about:
- Just who are the characters Doctor Dividend and DGI Guy?
- Why did we want to start a podcast?
- What we want our audience to get from the episodes?
- What do we NOT plan to talk about?
- Our personal long-term goals with investing.
If you have specific questions or want to be a guest on the show, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. And what will really help us is subscribing, rating and reviewing our podcast in iTunes, SoundCloud or using your favorite podcast listening app. The feedback to us is very helpful!
This will be audience-driven. We want to create a show that helps you be better dividend investors, and to do that, we need to know what you want. We look forward to exploring the journey together.
To your (dividend) health.
