Question: We know who gains from the silver ETF if it does indeed drive up the price of silver -- the silver producers, CDE, HL, PAAS, SIL, SSRI, and WTZ. But who loses?
Answer: The companies that consume silver (and co-incidentally are members of the Silver Users Association, which has come out in opposition to the silver ETF):
- Tiffany (ticker: TIF) -- silver jewelry
- Eastman Kodak (EK) -- photographic paper
- Dow (ticker: DOW) -- industrial
- Dupont (ticker: DD) -- industrial
