Sales data:

  • Market for NOR and NAND: approaching $20 billion (almost 13% higher than 2004)
  • NOR revenues: declined 17 percent to $8.3 billion
  • NAND revenues: grew 53 percent to $11.3 billion

Flash memory market shares:

  • Samsung: 31.7 % market share (Web-Feet Research note: 'On a quarterly basis however, Samsung has been steadily losing revenue share due to its discounted pricing for Apple')
  • Toshiba 12.4 % market share (Web-Feet Research note: 'In terms of NAND revenue, Toshiba should capture 18.8 percent, while its fab partner SanDisk adds another 8.9 percent share.')
  • Intel 11.8 %
  • Spansion 10.4 %
  • Hynix 7.7 % (10th place last year)
  • STMicroelectronics 6.4 %
