Next week is a busy earnings season and this article is a continuation of my previous article. In this article, I will cover the second set of seven stocks that are reporting earnings results next week. This article provides earnings preview and consideration for the next week. Use this list as a potential starting point for your analysis.
Accenture Plc (ACN): Accenture plc (Accenture) is a management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, which has offices and operations in more than 200 cities in 53 countries. Its business is organized in five operating groups and their 19 industry groups. Its five operating groups include communications & high tech, financial services, health & public service, products and resources.
Accenture has a market cap of $43.52 billion and will report its second quarter earnings results on March 22, 2012, after market close. The second quarter revenues are expected to be $6.63 billion when compared to $6.05 billion for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the second quarter are expected to be 85 cents a share from 75 cents a in the year ago period. Accenture is currently trading around $62.62 with a 52 week range of $47.40 to $63.66.
FedEx Corporation (FDX): FedEx Corporation (FedEx), is a holding company. It provides a portfolio of transportation, e-commerce and business services under the FedEx brand. The Company operates in four segments: FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, FedEx Freight and FedEx Services.
Fedex has a market cap of $29.00 billion and will report its third quarter earnings results on March 22, 2012, before market open. The third quarter revenues are expected to be $10.62 billion when compared to $9.66 billion for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the third quarter are expected to be $1.35 a share from 81 cents a share in the year ago period. Fedex is currently trading around $92.20 with a 52 week range of $64.07 to $98.66.
NIKE, Inc. (NKE): NIKE, Inc. (NIKE), is engaged in design, development and marketing of footwear, apparel, equipment and accessory products. NIKE is a seller of athletic footwear and athletic apparel in the world. The Company sells its products to retail accounts, through NIKE-owned retail stores, and Internet sales, and through a mix of independent distributors and licensees, in over 170 countries around the world.
NIKE has a market cap of $50.62 billion and will report its third quarter earnings results on March 22, 2012, after market close. The third quarter revenues are expected to be $5.80 billion when compared to $5.08 billion for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the third quarter are expected to be $1.16 a share from $1.08 a share in the year ago period. NIKE is currently trading around $110.30 with a 52 week range of $69.43 to $111.23.
Lululemon Athletica inc. (LULU): lululemon athletica inc. is a designer and retailer of technical athletic apparel operating primarily in North America and Australia. The Company's yoga-inspired apparel is marketed under the lululemon athletica brand name. The Company offers a range of performance apparel and accessories for women, men and female youth.
Lululemon athletica has a market cap of $10.39 billion and will report its fourth quarter earnings results on March 22, 2012, before marker open. The fourth quarter revenues are expected to be $362.37 million when compared to $245.40 million for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the fourth quarter are expected to be 49 cents a share from 32 cents a share in the year ago period. lululemon athletica is currently trading around $72.43 with a 52 week range of $37.26 to $73.73.
Dollar General Corp. (DG): Dollar General Corporation is a discount retailer. As of February 25, 2011, the Company operated 9,414 stores located in 35 states, primarily in the southern, southwestern, Midwestern and eastern United States. The Company offers a selection of merchandise, including consumables, seasonal, home products and apparel.
Dollar General has a market cap of $15.22 billion and will report its fourth quarter earnings results on March 22, 2012, before marker open. The fourth quarter revenues are expected to be $4.11 billion when compared to $3.49 billion for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the fourth quarter are expected to be 82 cents a share from 65 cents a share in the year ago period. Dollar General is currently trading around $44.46 with a 52 week range of $28.18 to $44.46.
GameStop Corp. (GME): GameStop Corp. (GameStop) is a multichannel retailer of video game products and personal computer (PC) entertainment software. The Company sells new and used video game hardware, video game software and accessories, as well as PC entertainment software and other merchandise.
GameStop has a market cap of $3.21 billion and will report its fourth quarter earnings results on March 22, 2012, before marker open. The fourth quarter revenues are expected to be $3.72 billion when compared to $3.69 billion for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the fourth quarter are expected to be $1.72 a share from $1.56 a share in the year ago period. GameStop is currently trading around $23.50 with a 52 week range of $18.34 to $28.66.
KB Home (KBH): KB Home is a homebuilding company. The Company constructs and sells homes through its operating divisions under the name KB Home.
KB Home has a market cap of $956.72 million and will report its first quarter earnings results on March 23, 2012, before marker open. The first quarter revenues are expected to be $337.72 million when compared to $196.94 million for the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the first quarter are expected to be loss of 25 cents a share from lost of $1.49 a share in the year ago period. KB Home is currently trading around $12.41 with a 52 week range of $5.02 to $13.67.
